So… I found out a bunch of stuff that I do and consider sort of baseline is apparently not something that other people do in the normal world.

Is it true that folks…

… don’t know how to identify if another device, like a printer, is on the same subnet as their computer?

… don’t confirm serial numbers, MAC addresses and other device identifiers before connecting over a network to other devices?

… don’t regularly check SSL/TLS certificate validation chains before interacting with a commerce site on the internet? via Facebook
