So… I decided to see if The Shannara Chronicles was any better than the couple episodes I caught on TV now that it’s on Netflix.<\/p>\n

It isn’t. <\/p>\n

All of the pieces are there, but it’s all so.. overwrought and trite that it’s unwatchable. And I’m not sure it’s even MTVs fault. I remember beginning to dislike the books for much the same reasons when I was like 13 or 14, which is almost certainly Brooks’ target audience. via Facebook
