This is one of those things you hear about, but rarely get to see — How police take reports of sexual assault, and dismiss them as unfounded. While parts of this video is specific to Canada, the way the officer handles the report is sadly rather typical here, as well.
I’ve had two friends tell me about similar experiences with the police over the years, and three others for whom the police handled their reporting of the assault with an open lack of respect and professionalism, bordering on hostility.
