It’s actually taken several weeks for me to process this. Black 47 hung up the Green Suede shoes back in November. I want to thank Larry Kirwan and the band for a 25 years of great music. You provided the soundtrack to a large part of my life. Music that I kept going back to, because you unfailingly kept it human. You put new skin on tunes my mother hummed to me. You were the only band that made me want to dance rather than play. Black 47 changed the way I heard, and played music. You helped me make life long friends and co-conspirators. So, thanks, fellahs.
